With Donor-Advised Funds, you can avoid the time and expense it takes to recruit a Board of Trustees and other necessary legal actions in setting up a private foundation.
CASE STUDY:
One donor wished his request remain anonymous. Unlike a private foundation, a donor-advised fund eliminates the bureaucracy and offers complete privacy. With a donor-advised fund, a donor is not subject to the release/publication of who established his/her fund; how much the donor contributes; and a listing of every grant made by the donor.
Two Donor-Advised Fund Success Stories
Focus on Your Goal:
"When I set up a scholarship in honor of my late husband, CCF handled all the administrative and legal concerns. I just raised funds, so he would always be remembered."

"Our battalion tried to set up a charity in honor of those who fell on 9/11. It was almost impossiblewe had to hire lawyers and accountants; we didn't think we could do it... The Catholic Communal Fund simplified the administrative duties and the giving, designating and distributing the funds to educational institutions for scholarships to benefit the children of members of the 48th Battalion."
